2005-04-09 13:02:09 : unstable version updated
Run your updater to get the new 0.1.9.5 version.
Main features are :
- new widgets in guilib to create menus
- classes in graphlib to handle billboards, pointsprites and an special infinitefield object to create infinite dust or asteroid fields
- a new database library based on SQLite to manage data persistance.

See README.txt for detailed changelog.

2005-04-01 05:43:18 : small web site update
Simpler 'about' and 'wip' pages

2005-03-24 19:24:49 : Another "sneak peek" screenshot added
It shows the upcoming updater v2.0, which has been rewritten from scratch. Its main features are :
- faster downloads using gzip compression. No more issues with .exe/.dll filtering proxies
- fully skinable UI
- increased compiler portability. Doesn't use MFC and ATL anymore. Compiled with Dev-C++/MINGW
- support for installation of optional components

2005-03-11 02:38:35 : a few weeks before next update
As the next 'work in progress' update becomes closer, I put a new screenshot to show the work that has been done.
You can compare all screenshots of the planet since the first 0.2.0wip to see the quality and performance improvement. All screenshots were taken on the same machine (Athlon 900 + Geforce4TI4200).
Update content :
- performance boost
- better graphic quality (bigger textures, billboarded stars, graphics bugs corrected)
- eventually some new artwork
but few progress on the gameplay itself.
Hopefully, high-level features will be added much faster in next releases since the scripting engine enters in beta phase.

2004-09-07 00:25:29 : Engine update!
A new WIP version is available through the updater.
Lots of change in the engine (check README.txt for details), but few are visible to the end user.
The most noticeable are the new artwork (skybox, mesh & planet ground texture)
and the end of cryonlib.dll (you can delete it since everything is now done in script).
Note that this is really a Work In Progress version, with known bugs.
The font system is crashed by the DirectX 9.0c SDK.
The bounding sphere visibility is still bugged and the animation jerky.
Hopefully all this will be fixed in the next version.
